Every product you buy from us will come with all the relevant safety markings & labels, but there's only so much you can fit onto the packaging! I will use this page for you to refer to, to help with all things Scenty!

Scented Shimmering Stones Information:
These are really easy to use & smell absolutely amazing, I've had mine in my electric burner for 4 days & it still smells beautiful!
Simply place a small heap into your clean burner (I recommend electric for best results but tea-light is fine), I give mine a stir every few hours to give the fragrance a boost, if you want to. When your burner has completely cooled & all the scent has gone simply tip into the bin!
PLEASE DO NOT PLACE STONES ONTO ANY SURFACES
They are made with concentrated, pure oils & will ruin finishes on your sides.
Only use them in a burner suitable for wax melts.
Never leave unattended.
Keep them stored in their container/packaging only, keep packaging upright at all times.
To avoid spilling any I would highly recommend placing down some tissue or newspaper to catch any your may spill when filling your burner, If you do get any on your sides wipe down immediately, although the damage will probably already be done - please avoid any product coming in contact with your surfaces. (I learned the hard way and have ruined my vinyl kitchen counter-tops!)

1st you need to test on an inconspicuous area of carpet/rug, sprinkle a little scent on, Vac & observe the results. If you are happy you can continue to enjoy the product. If you are not, please immediately stop using the product & contact us for a full refund.
Simply lightly sprinkle your powder on your rugs/carpets & hoover it up - your house will smell beautiful!

Check your vacuums manufacturers information before using any product with your vacuum cleaner.

Not recommended for use if you have crawling infants using the area.

**Burner FAQS**
It's really important that customers are aware of the risks of using burners, and how to safely use them. I've created a frequently asked questions to cover some questions. If you ever have any concerns abour your burner, put out the tea light immediately, and if you need some advise please don't hesitate to contact me!
What burner should I use?
It is recommended that you use a burner with a minimum distance between the flame and the burner bowl of at least 10cm. You should not use oil burners, or a burner in which the safety label recommends against use with wax melts. This is because this burner is likely to get too hot if used with wax melts and is a serious safety concern. Burners can and will set fire.
Are they safe to use?
There is always a risk where fire is involved, no burner can be 100% safe and there is no guarantee that your burner will be fine. You should always use a burner that has at least 10cm distance between the flame and melt bowl. I cannot insist enough how vital it is that you never ever leave a burner on in a room where you are not. I understand the want for a room to smell nice but you simply cannot leave them unattended, it does not take long for burners to get too hot, and they can and will set fire.
I like my upstairs to smell nice, can I leave my burner on whilst I’m downstairs?
I completely understand this, but I can’t stress enough how important it is that you never ever do this. If your burner becomes too hot, and begins to catch fire whilst you are not in the room, you will not know. It is so important that you are always in the same room as your burner for the duration of use.
I need to pop out for 5 minutes, Can I leave my burner on?
Absolutely never, even if you will only be gone for a few minutes burners should never ever be left unattended, and should always only be used in a room where you will be present for the duration of the burn. You should always keep a close eye on your burner, if it is ever getting too hot immediately put the candle out and all to cool completely before you touch.
How do I use a burner correctly?
-You should collect all the items you need, your wax melt, a tea light, your burner & a candle lighter.
-Find a heat proof surface, completely out of reach of children, pets, draughts & anything that could cause a fire hazard. The surface should be level, cool, flat and heat resistant. Damage may occur to your surface if not heat proof, and a heat resistant plate should be used as an alternative.
-Unwrap your wax melt and place a small amount in the melt bowl of your burner, It’s always best to use a small amount of wax and add to it if needed to ensure you don’t flood the burner bowl & overpower yourself with fragrance.
-Once your wax is in the burner bowl, Place in your tea light in the bottom section of your burner & light it using a candle lighter.
-The heat from the tea light will begin to melt your wax, Enjoy your scent & keep a close eye on your burner. Your burner will become hot during use, do not attempt to move or touch your burner. If it is ever getting too hot immediately put out the candle safely and ensure the burner has completely cooled and wax has hardened before you attempt to touch.
-Do not allow the wax in the melt bowl to completely evaporate, this is a serious fire risk.
-You should always check your burner before use, ensure there are no cracks or damage, and no signs of scorching anywhere on the burner. If your burner is getting too hot there may be scorch marks or discoloration, if that is the case do not use this burner again and dispose of immediately – your burner needs replacing.
Do not put your burner in a freezer.
Do not apply excessive pressure when cleaning the burner as you may cause it to crack or become damaged.
Do not use metal objects to clean your burner.
To remove unwanted, used wax from your burner, wait until the wax has completely cooled, apply a little warm water to the wax and gently apply a little pressure at one end to dislodge the wax and remove wearing protective gloves.
My wax isn’t melting, whats wrong?
There are a number of different reasons for this. I will run you through some of the most common causes. Ensure the wax bowl in your burner is completely cleaned from prior use, any remaining wax will not only affect the way your new wax will burn, but it potentially could cause an allergic reaction due to the mixing of the scents together. The CLP Label on the back of your wax melt identifies the allergens and possible safety hazards for that particular scent, mixing waxes will invalidate this and it will not be possible to identify the potential reaction you could have. I would check the temperature of the room you are in, if it is too cold the wax will struggle to heat up enough to melt. Often tea lights can be the issue, they may not have enough wick/flame on them to heat up the burner well enough, if this is ever the case do not add an additional tea light, please put out the first tea light safely, once completely cooled replace with a new one. Some burners simply cannot melt our waxes, in particular a burner bought from Scentsy is very likely to struggle to melt our wax, they do not get warm enough. If you are using a burner that has too great a distance between flame and melt bowl again, the wax will struggle to heat up enough.
My burner is very hot, whats wrong?
Your burner is likely overheated. The flame needs to be put out immediately, please do not attempt to move your burner until the wax has hardened and the burner is completely cool. If this happens I would definitely not recommend you use the burner again, dispose of it and replace with a burner that has a minimum distance of 10cm between flame and melt bowl.
The glitter in my melt has sunk to the bottom, what’s wrong?
Unfortunately this is simply due to the science of the chemicals and elements used to make the wax. You may find that your colours ‘dance’ a lot in the beginning, but settle after a while, or they simply just sink to the bottom. This is perfectly normal and is not an issue with your wax melt or burner. You can use some thing heat-proof to give your melted wax a stir, this will liven up the glitter and it will begin to swirl again.
My burner has caught fire, what do I do?
This is very unfortunate and I’m sorry to hear you’ve had such a scare! You should safely put the fire our as quickly as possible. I would always recommend purchasing a very good quality fire blanket if you use wax melts in any form of burner. The entire contents of the burner will need disposing of when completely cooled, please do not attempt to touch your burner or move it until it has cooled entirely. We have to accept no responsibility at A Scent Of Calm for any mishaps or accidents involving burners that involve misuse. It is you responsibility to keep a close eye on your burner throughout use, you must never leave them unattended for any amount of time no matter how short. You must check your burner before every single use for any signs of damage. We cannot accept responsibility for any misuse of burners. This is entirely your responsibility as a customer, and it is very important that you use them safely, correctly, as intended and with the respect that flames need.
It is absolutely vital that you aware of these risks around using a burner for your wax melts. Burners can potentially be incredibly dangerous & it is so important you aware of the risks, and know how to use one correctly.
Only ever use your burner with a good quality tea light, do not use large tea lights, or tea lights designed to burn for longer than 2 hours. This is because they will make your burner far too hot & there is a very real risk your burner may catch fire. Always keep your burner well out of reach of children, pets, draughts and any fire hazards, on a heat proof surface where you can keep a close eye on it for the duration of use. Keep foreign objects out of the melt pool, if anything falls into your burner immediately put the candle out safely and once the wax has completely hardened, dispose of immediately. Wax melt burners will become hot during use, do not attempt to move your burner during use, if you need to move it then safely put out the tea light and move once the wax has hardened and the burner has completely cooled. If you feel that your wax burner has got too hot during use again immediately safely extinguish the tea light & wait until you burner has completely cooled and the wax has hardened before inspecting your burner. If there are any signs of scorching or damage, dispose of the burner and replace with a burner that has a minimum of 10cm distance between the melt bowl and the flame.
